I had contractions b4 my water broke .. after it broke.. contractions got stronger n more painful
It definitely begins to increase the pain . but you can have contractions before your water breaks

My labor was harder when my water broke. My first time experiencing it with my last the contractions was harder n more painful but epidural worked magically with the pain lol
