Anyone else had to get a prescription from their doctor in order to get a breast pump through insurance? What if my doctor doesn't give me one then I'd have to pay for a pump if so I'm going to be so mad.

Yeah my doctor gave me mine at my 36 week appointment had my baby at 37 weeks and just got my pump yesterday they took forever bc my doctor messed my prescription up so just make sure your doctor puts all the correct information on it !

On mine she forgot to put some code on it bc when I sent it in they were requesting the code and a new prescription but it's easy to do your doctor should know what to write mine she was kinda new

You should be able to just get a hold of your insurance and find out what companies they go through so you can get your free pump! I didn't have to have a prescription for mine

I did. When I went in for an appointment, I had him fax it over right then and there. Got my pump within a week. Good luck! ☺️
