Like ok. So ive met 3 different lactation consultants since my babies have been in this NICU and each one has said something different to me about how often i should pump. Every two hours has been working for me... ive been getting between 70-120ml every 2 hours. This last consultant today told me im. Doing good but i may need to slow down because i dont want to get over stocked with milk.. they freeze my milk after two days at the NICU and saud i do have alot over there but its a good thing and thry always has fresh milk and alot of it is frozen for when i go home with the babies. So she was telling me i dont have to expell all of my milk when i pump... i thought emptying my breast makes them know fhey have to produce and if i leave milk in there they wont know to produce more milk.

You should keep pumping every two hours until you are able to feed babies directly

In my opinion the last consultant is right. You have 2 small babies, each of them can eat 40ml maximum, if you pump more this means you will be stocked with milk, which is not good. My baby was not able to empty even one burst in first week, so in few days time my bulbs were full of milk and temperature went up to 39-40 degree
