Update on Justice: the upper GI came back normal yet he's still vomiting. They are trying to say I'm the cause of him losing weight cause I'm not making enough breast milk when in fact I am even while being pregnant. Whether or not my supply was an issue it doesn't explain why no matter what he eats whether its breast milk, formula, baby food, or table food, even medicine it still comes up. It makes no sense for him to tolerate my breast milk 6 months in then all of a sudden puke it up. He loves breastfeeding and prefers that over anything else and they are trying to tell me to stop nursing him and go straight to formula but that's not the answer especially with him still puking that up too. These people need to learn they are gastrointestinal specialists not breastfeeding!

@tejuhmm25 my lactation consultants are telling me what they are saying is BS and they want me to trick them into thinking he ate formula even though its breast milk so as long as he gains weight we can leave.

@tejuhmm25 nope and I got him allergy tested and he's not allergic to any foods. But no matter what he eats it comes up.

That's why I stopped breastfeeding. My daughter wouldn't stop throwing up and she started to loose weight so they said to switch to formula, and guess what they were wrong cause she still spit up it took 5 formulas until she finally stopped. Go with your gut.

@sawyersmom yes and it was negative. @eryka616 its not my breast milk though, he's vomiting the formula up, baby food, normal food, liquid medicine, it doesn't matter what it is. I rather keep giving him my breast milk cause that's the best thing for him he's even starting to refuse the formula.

@sawyersmom I don't remember but I have to get him tested again anyways by his first birthday

I recommend cutting anything with flour out of your diet for two weeks and to see if it helps. I think it will. I have a gluten allergy and one of my first symptoms was excessive acid reflux with vomiting.

@sawyersmom but what about all the gluten free foods he eats and the medicine they give him that's still being vomited up? Outside of my breast milk

It takes time to start working. At least two weeks. If not a month. I puked for a month even after I stopped eating flour. I would do gluten free and lactose free until you get the puking calmed down

I also had to take an acid reducer. But he is probably too little for that, so in the mean time just give the diet a couple of weeks to work

It should help so that you don't have to stop breastfeeding. A gluten allergy is really hard to diagnose
