Today we have @mrsc2mommy who runs her own YouTube channel, Meet The Chambers, and blog called Come Wag Along. She's here to answer any of your vlogging and blogging questions, and please share your advice too! Please reply in the comments below! Here's her tips:
Blogging Tips
1. Start on a free blogging platform like blogger.com or WordPress.com first to see if you want to take blogging to the next level instead of just a hobby.
2. Don't know what to write about? Pull from your own experiences. Pregnant? Share your pregnancy updates and all things pregnancy. Just had your first baby? Share topics on being a new mom. Google "mom blog topics" for lists of different things to write about.
3. Promote your blog on social media. Don't be afraid to tell others about your blog. Tweet your blogs posts on Twitter, share blog posts on Facebook, mention your blog on Instagram etc
4. Be apart of the blogging community. Join blogging groups on Facebook. Comment on other bloggers blog posts and share their content. It's not all about you. Engaging with others is very important.
5. Want to monetize your blog? I suggest being self hosted with your own domain. Join blogger networks to have opportunities to be apart of campaigns that pay you to promote brands. Pitch to brands that you love for the opportunity to work with them. Let them know you charge a fee and don't write for free product only.
Here's her bio: Kia Chambers is a North Carolina native who started her blog ComeWagAlong.com in 2012 to share her experiences as a new dog owner. Her blog has now expanded to include her experiences as a new mommy and wife as well. Come Wag Along is all about family life with a dog. In addition to blogging, Kia also has a family vlog on YouTube called MeetTheChambers. The blog started out as just a hobby for her, but now it is a business. She's written for other sites and has even been featured as a top pet blogger! She's also been able to work with numerous brands that she loves.
Kia has a blended family. She has a step daughter who is 6 that she loves like her own. She also has a 2 year old daughter of her own. With her blog and vlog she hopes to give helpful tips on having a dog and being a mommy and wife. She loves sharing her experiences with others whether it be with her use of products or her day to day experiences. She's told all of the time that she has an inspiring young black family and she hopes to continue to inspire and inform with the use of her blog and blog.

@avie, I'd say just use your cell phone to start...iPhone 7 cameras are pretty good and I'm sure some androids are too...the key is to record with the back camera as it is better than from facing...and hold your phone horizontally and not vertical...in the future look up the canon g7x that is what we vlog with...it could be on sale now bc I think there is a new one out

So i dont have any "mom" stuff posted. I think there is a post on there about my son but since y'all are talking about sites, I use blogger.com and i use godaddy as my website. Godaddy also allows me to link my blog right on to my website and i am able to link my social medias right on to my website as well. Hope this is useful 😊 good luck mommas!

@cynthia.rose.ramos, a lot of moms can relate to your different experiences...if your experiences answer questions a lot of moms have then it's useful and relevant
@cynthia.rose.ramos, just start! Don't be scared especially if it's something you really want to do

@clairehoyt, wix also has a free version which would have limits as well but they also have different packages. Just make sure you read what the packages offer to ensure you're picking the one you want to be able to do what you want
@clairehoyt, free WordPress.com has some limits but not self hosted WordPress...but WordPress.com now has packages available that you can pay for and be able to monetize...just with the free version you can't

@mrsc2mommy, it's sounded like Wordpress has limitations when monetizing so I'm wanting to be sure I'm set up correctly to be able to monetize. Wix is a site builder similar to square space, etc. I think I just found my answer online, no worries! Thx!

Hi @mrsc2mommy! Similar question to @smilingwithmyawesome4kids, I have a site now for my baby food company Big Dipper Baby Food. I use wix as my site builder , and own my domain name. Can I reap 100% of rewards I generate?
@mzsteph612, ColorStory, Photofy, Canva, WordSwag all of these are for pictures and things you'd use to promote your blog post or use in a blog post

@smilingwithmyawesome4kids, WordPress.com is free and has some restraints whereas getting your own domain and host is all handled by you and you can do whatever you like when it comes to monetizing your blog
@smilingwithmyawesome4kids, blogging can be difficult because you definitely have to be consistent and constantly promote yourself and be a part of the blogging community. But if you want it I say go for it! Don't think you will just easily become a success over night...it definitely takes hard work! But you can do it!
I also have a YouTube channel. My husband and I vlog on a weekly basis and post new videos. Challenges pranks and Q&As are coming soon. I'm always looking to subscribe to new ppl on YouTube also!!
@mamaoftwo83, just start writing whatever pops in your head in a notebook or something. I like using the Evernote app because it's on my phone and also on the computer. Whenever I have an idea I put it in Evernote...I have even started blog posts in Evernote and make everything make sense later. It's best to get those ideas out of your head so you won't forget them!
@rmariet, I'm not gonna lie I still struggle with time management because I also work a full time job, but using a Evernote, Trello, and making sure you set an hour a side a day or whatever amount of time you can get things done help

I have so much content "in my head" but everytime I want to put them down in writing, I'm all over the place. How do i actually start to write? Its so hard for me.
How do you manage your publishing & social media schedule along with being a mom? I've tried blogging but always get stuck with time management.

the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.
