So not only are we moving soon but my son's birthday is soon...I want to go through all his toys & donate/throw out a lot of them but last year when I did this iI was so hesitate thinking he would go looking for something & it not be there....he has so many toys tho (I literally have 2 rooms full of crap!) this is going to be hard on me lol
Yeah and of the toys that my daughter does have we separated them into 3 little storage bins (little people, doll& clothes, cars/trucks) and each day she picks what bin she wants to play with that way at the end of the day there isnt that many toys that need to be picked up
@kmharr3 yea I'm planning on doing this the next time my mom takes him for the night. He usually just plays with a handful of toys so I'm hoping it won't be difficult to get rid of everything else. The idea to store some toys I'm unsure of is a great idea tho, not sure why I didn't think of that lol
I pay attention to what my daughter plays with most and then clear out the rest to make room for new toys. If its out of sight they are out of mind. I just wouldnt let him see you pick out the toys to donate them because then he might want to play with them lol. I have also just put toys in my closet for a month and if she didnt ask about them then i knew it was safe to donate them
I do the same thing and put them away or up for a month...if she doesn't ask or look for it I get rid of it...then if she panics and wants it i can sneak away and be like oh look what mommy found under the bed!! lol
