Alright all you inked mommies!! I am planning on joining you all as of tomorrow. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for someone getting their first tattoo?
@kathale95, Awe yay!!! Welcome to the club mama! 😘 It's cute!
Yours kids name. But get it on your dominant side. I got my first tattoo on my left forearm and I am right handed and it hurt so bad...
@haley-lamb, I have a similar tattoo to that. Roman numeral clock and skull. Clock is set to the time my daughter was born!
@haley-lamb okay Thanks! I'll let you know how it goes
@haley-lamb I mean like I think I'm bigger but people say I'm not, like I feel like my shoulder is just skin them bone right under there is like no meat. I was considered petite before I has my son.
@haley-lamb I'll be sure to post it if I follow through with it. I have a low pain tolerance but I plan on taking like 800mg of ibuprofen before I go (I'm a light weight) when I was in labor the epidural didn't really hurt that bad because I had the IV pain meds 😂 my body is weird.
@haley-lamb I was thinking either my boob or like the back of my shoulder. I want to be able to see it but I heard back shoulder isn't that bad
@mama_kat89 thank you! And yes, the turtle is because it's my fiances favorite animal and the mickey because my son is beyond obsessed with Mickey
@haley-lamb, Everyone is most definitely different. When I had my ribs done I couldn't breathe until he paused for a second.
@haley-lamb, My wrists hurt like shit. Especially the newest one I just got. 😭
@haley-lamb i want to get a scorpion on the back on my neck. I think my chest tats hurt pretty bad. And the one on my elbow
Make sure to eat before you go in and also try not to over think or worry about how it's going to feel. It's not as bad as what you think. Lol
@kathale95, Eat 1 hour before you go. If you need to take a break, let your artist know. Bring a drink like Gatorade/water with you, and sip on it throughout your tattoo. Make sure you like the design and placement before committing. If you don't like where it sits, ask them to move it 100 times if you need to. If you don't like the drawing, have them tweak it until you do. Make sure your artist is confident in your tattoo, and knows they're capable of nailing it.
Have them go slow, ask for breaks if needed, pee first before sitting down and bring a way to distract yourself that doesn't make you move.
7 tats and counting
