So I have a question. So I'm in the navy right and I have to go on the shipyard next week to go to a class and its not just the regular part of the shipyard its the industrial part (but the class is inside I just have to walk through the ship yard to get there) but I don't want to seem like I'm trying to get out of the class I'm just worried that I'm not supposed to be in that area but I worry a lot and I have alot of irrational fears that are what some people call weird but is it ok that I feel that way that I shouldn't go to the industrial part of the shipyard?

Most ships don't have anything that dangerous on them. Don't worry so much my dad used to work there and we would visit him.

No problem! I use to work over there when my ship was in the yards and they had pregnant girls walk around there checking people in until they could get them orders to transfer you'll be good as long as your not on a ship for the class

@tiarradarnell thank you

And the "CIA" is just where you need a shipyard badge to use to enter the turnstiles

You will be fine walking to the building where the class is, Portsmouth is a big base you probably won't even be walking over to where the ships are

You at least need to be on prego PT but I would still hang in and do what everyone else does. Unless you really can't handle it.. but I was in 10 years ago I don't know how it is now. Just don't jeopardize anything

And you are so right about that I didnt tell them I was pregnant until like last week only because I threw up in my shop I kinda had to tell them :-/ I was worried they would complain about it I think the only reason they didnt say anything is because I'm still on shore duty

Well you are 11 weeks, if doctor tells you no that's different but if you have a healthy pregnancy. I wouldn't worry... but that's just my opinion. Military judges I wouldn't get judged this early on. I'm only saying this because I was in I know how it is

Yea thats why I wanted to as other women I worry alot so sometimes I have to ask people if my worries are rational

And I thought that too but when I was pregant with my first son I stayed on my old ship until I was 30 weeks and I was not saposed to be on the ship after 25 weeks so they dont always care that much

Had your doctor said to limit you on doing things? If not I don't see a issue. I was in the military. If it were me I wouldn't pull the pregnancy card unless I really saw danger in it. I know people in Iraq who got pregnant still did their job until the got a ride homes

Do they know you're pregnant? They should know where you are allowed and not. I wouldn't think you just walking through the yard would do anything. And I wouldn't really ask them unless they tell you it's not safe.
