So I got invited to a wedding and it's $20 to get in.... Is that weird or is it just me ?

@claudiaporteous she said you are paying for your food, so it's $20 a person to get in. So $20 for your plate of food. I guess that's understandable but I told her that she could have had her and his family make all the food or find a cheaper place because once I saw you had to pay to get in I didn't want to go and She just replied back saying "oh" but She said She is having this Mexican food place cater their wedding

@kitcatmeow8383 yeah ! So it would be over $100 just for us to go to a wedding. For my outfit, hair , shoes & make up. Fiance a nice dress up shirt&pants & dress up shoes then $40 to get in! Then if we want to drink then we need to buy our own.

@claudiaporteous yeah I understand weddings are expensive , we were planning ours until I got pregnant and had a baby so we put it aside. But I think they should make it simple if they can't afford it. Its crazy to have your guests pay for your wedding.

That's weird lol. You don't invite people to a wedding and then make them pay. And if they can't afford it, they need to have a simpler wedding that they can afford. It isn't the guests responsibility to pay for their wedding lol.
@orionsmomma wow that is super nice😄 that is what I would do at mine too! Especially for guest who came out of state to be there in my wedding day. It also says BYOB. So I'm suppose to pay $20 to get in... Bring my own beer and get you a gift. I'm not being cheap, it's just bizarre to invite someone to attend your day but they have to pay for it.
It may be a way to help with their wedding costs but yeah that's really weird
The venue I had my wedding at charged for valet and I didn't even let my guests pay for that! Lol.
