My baby is 16 days old and she was premature so I've been pumping and breast feeding since she was born. I'm also in oversupply and pumping about 10-17 ounces every 3 hours even after I breast feed. A few days ago I thought maybe my breasts were sore from engorgement but I ended up not being engorged, but my breasts hurt constantly like they're bruised or something, has this happened to anyone else? What do you do to relieve the pain?

Are your breasts red?

If you have an oversupply you shouldn't be pumping after you've already nursed. You're just telling your body to make more milk

Have you tried breast massage before pumping? Pumping can be more strenuous than breastfeesing, especially with the hospital grade pumps.
