So the doctor says I've gained five pounds well, I drank a lot** of water this morning. Do y'all think that has anything to do with it? It can't be healthy to gain 5 pounds in a month...?

So I'm not trying to freak u out but once the 2nd and for !e especially 3rd tri hits I feel like its unstoppable lol I didn't gain to much in total but last Dr apt (I have them every two weeks until now once a week) I gained 4 lbs in two weeks and the Dr wasn't concerned at all every wo!an and pregnancy is different and unless weight is affecting your health (overweight significantly) or affecting your baby I wouldn't worry at all!!

Yeah it got to me at first too. I was like omg! I gained 10 lbs since my last appointment. But then I was told that it was normal for someone like me who had recently lost a ton of weight then got pregnant. It comes back on fast. Now I've been about the same weight for a few weeks now and haven't really gained much else

@lugland, I'm not really stressed about gaining weight. I mean I'm fine I know I have to for the baby. It just confused me all that happened in a month. I'm not used to weight gain other than a little at a time because I've been 98-115 For as long as I can remember.

You kinda have to look at as it is what it is. Obviously you know you're going to gain weight being pregnant. You can't help it. So it's not good to do you any good to add the additional stress from it. I just made sure at every appointment that my dr was still ok with my weight.

The first half of my pregnancy I was gaining about 10lbs between every appointment. I think as long as you're staying within the "range" you're good. But even then try not to stress about it.

It's perfectly normal to gain about a pound a week at this point in your pregnancy. The weight gain will slow down/stop normally within the last 4 weeks. You're not just puuting on weight. Your blood volume is increasing as well as the fluid around the baby. Your doctor will let you know if weight gain is ever a concern.

It's different in every pregnancy but unless doc is worried about your weight gain, I wouldn't worry about it unless you're gaining like 20 pounds a month 🤤 and from the looks, you're pretty petite so I would say you're gonna gain maybe 15-30 pounds. My doc told me 25-35 and I've already gained 15 but those are just estimates and eating habits differ.

at my 8w I was 122 at my 12w I gained 8 at my 19w I gained 7. depends on your BMI how much you should gain but just remember it's not only you that gains weight it's also your uterus and stuff like that. And the baby of course.
