I work night shift, 6pm till 2am or later. My boyfriend works days, so he's gone when the kids get up. That puts me getting up early with the kids. I'm so over tired there are days that I can't function. I'mthinking about quitting. Letting my boyfriend go back to working 2 jobs (he likes it better that way). But that puts him not being home at all and me being home all the time. But he'll be happier and I'll have more sleep. I'm just not sure what to do. There's down sides with either choice.

Oh :/ yeah I'm a night manager so I make over 9$/hr.. I have kids around your age..sometimes they nicely watch a movie while I doze in my chair lol. :/ thought about w@h jobs? Ik a few websites you can look at and see if they are hiring
@walking_mombie the ages my kids are at makes naps impossible. And making 7.25 an hour means I have to have full time plus over time if I can get it.
Can you just work 6-1 or 6-12? I work the same shifts & have the same issues. I just try to control my crabby side lol and try to nap on the days they let me which is usually none.
@lorrainev @mommiesaremagical14 now for the hard part of telling the kids. They get away with so much crap when their dad's home.
@lorrainev he said he'd call on his lunch break. To make sure this is what I want and I'm not just doing it to make him happy.
Yeah if your husband thinks it's fine for you to become a SAHM then just quit. Maybe have one more chat with him to verify his feelings and then put in your two weeks
@lorrainev @mommiesaremagical14 thanks ladies. You helped me feel less guilty. I just texted my boyfriend and told him how I was feeling. He's happy about it and said he would stop by one of the places that's offers him a job recently.
@lorrainev culinary arts. But it was tech school over 5yrs ago so all of my certifications are out of date.
Wait what did you go to school for?! Surely you can find something that offers better pay than fast food joints
@lorrainev with the little I make I have to have 40 hours to make ends.
@lorrainev he makes more than me. Drives me nuts, because I went to college and he never finished high school. We would have more if he works instead of me. And the kids would be better taken care of with just me here.
@tiredmom, if you enjoy working have you thought about finding a weekend job?
@mommiesaremagical14 that's where I'm having the issue. I love working even at a crappy job. But I'm struggling keeping up with the kids during the day. I'm considering quiting because it'll be better for the kids if I'm not sleep deprived and cranky.
@tiredmom, that's really nice! 🙂same reason my husband is quitting his job. He doesn't want to have to give up his income, it actually stresses him out having to rely on me financially but he's doing it cause he's supporting me and my goal to finish school sooner rather than later
That is tough. I mean if you'd both be happier with you staying home again and he's happier working 2 jobs then why not? I'd like to go back to work myself. Even if it's just part time. I need it for 1, to GTFO of this house once in a while 2, to have some adult interaction 3, so Jocey can be around more kids and 4, I'd like to have my own money. Even if it's just a little bit.

@tiredmom, If you guys have already talked about it and he's fine with you leaving your job then no you're not horrible! If it was a mutual agreement you shouldn't feel bad at all!
@lorrainev my question is would I be a horrible person if I quit? It's just a McDonald's job. It sucks and it's full of drama. He can make more than me on any job he gets. He would just have to work 2 jobs to keep our bills paid if I quit. But he hates me working and would rather me stay home with the kids and him work 2 jobs.
Same here! Only I'm gone from 5pm-7am and my husband works from 8am-12pm so I have to watch my daughter in between that time. It's been very hard on my body but my husband is leaving his job soon so I'll be able to get some kind of sleep some days!

So here it goes 😒. Yesterday I bought my first car ever for a $1000 it needs minor work ( no biggie), but it drives amazing. And my s/o is going off on me because I bought a car wow he was at work. So he says "I'm rushing". But I'm at home with two mfn kids all day everyday and when I need something done I have to wait til his off day just to get things done...
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasnt there a user that was drugging their baby with tylenol or Benadryl to get them to sleep all day?
What's something you're working on right now to become a better person? I'm working on being more positive 😘🙌🏾 getting up earlier ready to start the day! I'm also working on not getting upset at small things! It's not even worth it! I'm working on smiling more and appreciating every single day! You should always be growing and working on something! What happened to my home?
Well my beautiful home is gone it caught on fire while i was at work my oldest son saved all my kids then ran a mile to my work to get me all while having smoke exhalation and had to be placed on oxygen.
My boyfriend thinks its funny that my son is awake early when he comes home from work. But he isn't the one who has to get up and stay up. He gets to come home, eat and sleep all day. Must be nice!!
