I was told by my nurse that 6lbs 1 oz is a low birth weight to a baby born at 39 weeks!!!! True or false?? I thought that was a petty decent weight 🤔🤔🤔

Everyone has their opinions about weight! 6lbs is healthy my little guy was born at 39 weeks weighing only 5lbs 4oz. Everyone was worried about him being so small but the delivering doctor looks at me and goes you guys are not big people why would you have a big baby. Made me feel so much better after so much worrying😊

I was 6 lbs 2 oz at birth. It's on the smaller side, but not preemie.

My first was 6lbs 4oz @ 38 weeks second was 6lbs 8oz @ 38 weeks and third was 5lbs 14oz @ 38 weeks and I was told they were all normal... your baby's weight is normal

Ok so not using actual numbers.. But everyone knows I'm over weight since having my girls. It's no secret. BUT i was talking with my hubby last night and idk how we got to this but he said something like (not using actual numbers) no one should weigh 800lbs, they should take care of themselves. And i said so what if someone weighs 800lbs? He said no one should weigh that, they should be healthier. I said well i almost weigh 800! I'm in the 790s. And I'm healthy. I may be overweight but i don't have any diseases, no high cholesterol, no high blood pressure, i don't have a bad heart, lungs, or anything else. So I'm healthy I'm just over weight. So then we argued about him having an issue with my weight.. Am i wrong in this? Because it really hurt my feelings.. I've tried sooo many different things to lose weight but having hypothyroidism makes you gain/hard to lose. And my medications for depression and anxiety cause you to gain also.. So it's very hard to lose weight.. But i didn't even know he had an issue with my weight until last night..

@porschedavis25 do nit worry if shes healthy dont even stress about it, i cant tell u i wish i did the same. My chb weigh 6 1/2 and the damn doctors kept tellin me he cnt get bigger he cnt get vigger . Bcuz i had GD..so i would stress on my food intake never again after that im like screw u guys hes healthly nothing abnormal
