Since I've had my son, every time I talk to someone one of the first things they ask is "Are you breastfeeding?". They could be a stranger, acquaintance, coworker, etc. It's so, so weird to me! Especially when men ask! I'll be in line at the store and I'll get "cute baby! Do you breastfeed him??" 😂
It's weird how many people are suddenly interested in your boobs when you have a kid. I have at least three lactation Consultants that have been checking up on me. (NICU, insurance, and regular hospital assigned one)
My answer to strangers is usually along the lines of asking them their bra size (females) or saying how creepy it is that they are interested in my boobs (males and females).
It's no one's business what you do with your body. Breastfeed, bottle feed with breast milk (me, because she has a cleft palate), and/or bottle feed with formula. (Or any combo of those)
As long as baby is getting proper nutrition, growing, and healthy who the hell cares how baby gets it?! No one, except the parents, that's who.
@kemara, yea thats all ive been seeing is mom shaming against the woman who does breast feed n to me it isnt right an makes us woman feel kinda bad almost force us to breastfeed jus to feel like we are being good moms 😔😏😳🤷🏽♀️ even guy is like ur gonna breastfeed our daughter it's healthier an im like dude relax formula isn't gonna kill her plus when i breast fed our now one yr old son i lost like 20lbs in four months
@-happycamper I agree!! What's funny to me is I do breastfeed. I've gotten people that have actually judged that as somehow making you a better mom than someone who doesn't breastfeed! It's crazy
@mommysbabies its just a really creepy thing to me, and so intrusive! Moms shouldn't feel obligated to explain their choices to anyone, especially strangers! Lol
@kemara, 🤣wow ppl need to relax with this breastfeeding trip... im not breastfeeding again i did it five times
Everyone always asks that lol especially the older generation I got once well you know it's better to breastfeed and I said I wish I could but I lost my milk supply after 1 month
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Damn I'll be around 40!!! :(

@mermaidmeshy I completely agree! When my son was in NICU, I had 2 different lactation consultants, and one drove me nuts! It's a hard enough situation without someone breathing down your neck constantly, unannounced usually.
Lately, I haven't been very nice about the intrusive breast questions. I don't need to explain anything to the public. None of us should feel obligated to explain our parenting choices (unless we are endangering our children, of course).
