Well Cody just started his new job like a week or so ago, and when he first started his uncle said it was 7-5 and no weekends, and it was all family oriented so I got all excited and thought hell yes finally a set schedule and I can have a clean house and dinner ready every night when he comes home, well now that he started he hasn't texted me any throughout he day, he works 6 days a week until 7, and since he has started he has had to work over until ???? Still haven't heard from him so I'm over this new job already. I know when he has lunch his ass can at least shoot me a text that they are working over so I'm not having to eat alone or waiting by the door.
@tatted_mommy, that literally made my heart sink! I never even thought about it in that perspective, I know he hates it just as much as I do I just think it's such a big change because I used to have him with my everyday like my best friend doing everything together but I am extremely grateful for him, thank you for posting that! ❤️❤️
If I may jump in here for a bit. I completely understand where you're coming from, its tough to spend all day with the little one and have our husbands come home at different hours of the evening. My husband has had to work until 11, he's gone in at night, this is for a job that should typically be 7-4. One day I came across this post on fb that my sisters husband had shared. @proudmomma7, I'm from adelantó, California, so I know the area. Well they live in Apple Valley but her husband has been working up North for the past few months, leaves for a week and comes back on the weekends. Talk about feeling like a single mom. She has 3 little ones ages 4, 3, and 7 months. When he posted this it changed my view.
@kemara, Exactly! And I think it strains our relationship because I'm sitting here all day twirling my thumbs waiting for him to get home and spend time together or do something and he is ready to eat, shower then bed and It's frustrating because he doesn't understand I need a break sometimes too but I feel guilty for having him even tend to the baby when he is home because he was at work but at the same time it's like damn when can I just get a second.
@proudmomma7 our men sound like they could be related! My husband wants another one too, and I told him the other day I feel like a single parent sometimes with his working all the time. It's rough emotionally too, especially when you make dinner, tend the baby, the house, and they come home beat from working all day.
@kemara, same! And he wants another baby which I would love but kinda scares me because I feel like I'd be doing every thing alone
I empathize mama!! It's similar with my husband. I NEVER know when he will be home, which is tough when I work too! The worst is if he doesn't at least update me. That crap is guaranteed to make me crazy lol.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
So my bf went to work last night for 8:30pm (he has no set schedule) he texted me when he got there and now it's 7:40am and I haven't heard from him....his FB said he made it back to the warehouse 4hrs ago.....it only takes 2hrs max for him to get home...should I call his job?? I'm getting nervous (he doesn't have a phone , it only works on wifi)
How yu gonna argue with me because i find child support stupid af if the father takes his child has a roof over his head and food in his fridge when he has the kid why does he need to pay you so you have a roof over your head and your bills are paid isnt that your job as a mother. Not fair that a man has to make sure he has everything for himself and his baby at his place and take care of his baby mommas "bills". Smh. To each its own but to argue with me about my opinion. Tf get out my face with...
Is there anyone that didn’t get their drivers license until they were older? My brother still hasn’t taken his test. (mother and Aunt would rather get him an ID so he can start working and take him to and from work) just curious to see if it’s more common than I think.
does it bother you guys that your SO is texting this girl he had feelings for and she had/has feelings for him but he normally only texts her when he's working so I don't get upset but now he's texting her and gets pissed when I ask why he's texting her or what it's about! am I over reacting or would you guys be mad too? 😡😡😡😠😠😠😠
I am so happy that it helped. I thanked my friend for posting it when I read it, i had never seen it from that perspective either. Now, I often let my husband know how much i appreciate him and him working those crazy hours for us. And when he gets home late and dinner is cold, I warm him up a plate when he gets in. And for the times he gets home after I'm in bed, I leave the food on the stove (not on) because I know he will get home and pick at it. Then he puts it away. It's easy to complain because we have all the time in the day to do so, they're just doing what they gotta do.
