To all mommy's who have had a c section, how long did you wait before having sex? I know the doctors say wait six weeks.

I did the same day I got home... maybe 3 days after birth.

I waited 8 weeks

To be honest, I wasn't really in the mood to have sex so I really wasn't counting. Only thing that had me know was the checkup afterwards lol.

@lydia007 oh ok I mean I've had 2 other c sections before this 3rd one but I don't remember how long I waited.

I waited the full 6 weeks cause I was scared. And the first few times after that, hurt. I have heard many moms who haven't had pain at all though.

@brbsmomma yea I definitely don't want that.

@jassyburton62612, yeah, the risk of infection is high during those first few weeks and you def don't want to reopen that incision and have to visit the hospital with your newborn in tow

It hurt me for a while. About 6 months was when it got better, but not everyone is the same. You're supposed to take it slow and use a lot of lube.
