We got to feed her, her first meal today. She was at 20 mls the first time she took from the bottle. It took me 3 pumping/hand expression sessions to get up 20 mls last night. Then well we were out and about, and i missed 3 sessions that i shouldve been pumping. We had to go home bc they were over full and hurting like hell. I started pumping and as the pain was releaved at the end of it i almost had 2 oz. We went to her next feeding session and she was up to 24 mls then. She gobbled down my breast milk like it was nothing and continued to suck on the bottle looking at me like, "mommy wheres the rest?" After i took the bottle away i couldnt help but laugh alittle bc she was so adorable. The only thing holding her back now from being home is reaching her eating goal. Every feeding they go up 2 mls as long as she takes it with no problem. The total feeding goal is 58mls and shes over half way there already. Her suck is strong and she finished what we gave her in under 20 mins. The first time giving her the bottle she was alittle slow, but now shes full blown and knows how to eat. I want her to latch but at this point i kinda dont care. I can always pump for her, but im so glad she picked up on eating so quickly. At this pace itll be before this weekend.
@bethany_swaney oh I bet! Keep up the good work and she will 😄

(Thread Closed) Nighttime feedings
So I got this awesome bottle warmer that has a cooling chamber so you don't have to go to the fridge for a bottle. My husband told his co-worker about it and she asked why we needed it if I'm going to breastfeed. He said its for when I start pumping so he can help with feedings at night. She then said he shouldn't have to get up and help because I don't work.
Quick question to breast feeding mum i would like to breast feed my baby when she comes as I’ve never really breast fed my other 2, is it uncomfortable also how is pumping out milk????? For bottle feeds is the pump uncomfortable... I would normally just breast feed and not pump when home but I do drive so when I’m out and can’t stop I’ll have to use a bottle...I remember trying to breast feed my youngest and I keeped getting milk ducts why was that??? I think that’s why I gave up as I was scared...
