Tonight I'm feeling extra disappointed in myself. I have been trying to breastfeed my son and it went rather well at the hospital with some help from the nurses but we have been home since Saturday afternoon and I've only been able to get him to latch good maybe twice. This morning I ended up having to pump because I was so full and very tender. I've had to pump several times today because he is refusing to latch. I have still tried my best to get him to latch every feeding today and it didn't work. He has started pushing away from my breast and screaming no matter the position. Well just now due to endless screaming and very sore breast I warmed up some milk from a previous pumping session and gave him a bottle. It broke my heart to do it and I'm going to continue to try but I'm just not sure breastfeeding is for us. I however will continue to pump so he is still getting my milk as long as I can.
Also try hand expressing before you latch so your milk is already there until he can get the hang of latching on his own
There's an app called Pacify. It allows you to speak to a LC via webcam. You can show them your latch and they'll help
Don't be sad he is still getting your milk. Just rememeber fed is best. Also you could try calling a lactation specialist. I had to trick my son with the paci to get him to start latching good if you are using one.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
