Everybody. I know you've probably seen it a million times. But let me stress to you just how important car seat safety is. An hour and a half ago, my husband and I were in a wreck. Our precious 1 year old daughter was strapped into her car seat, rear facing in the back seat. Our car flew off the road about 200ft before ending up on our side in the brush. The grass was wet and the brakes weren't doing anything to stop us. While I'm sore and contemplating going to ER, my perfect baby is completely fine. She was trying to walk around while I was getting looked over in the ambulance. Please. Just check your little ones car seat one more time than you normally would.

Omg that is super scary! Glad to know both of you guys are okay

You couldn't find a babysitter?!

You couldn't find a babysitter?! Mommas, do you take your kids with you to run errands and go to mundane appointments? On two separate occasions, a doctors appointment for me and today at a car service appointment, someone has remarked "you couldn't find a babysitter?!" It never crossed my mind to find a babysitter. I take my 2 kids with me just about everywhere. They are well behaved (minus the occasional 3 year old meltdown) and one of them is attached to my boob the majority of the time anyway. Am I the only one? Is that a weird thing to do? Do most moms find babysitters?

son getting out of car seat

son getting out of car seat So a couple days ago my son started getting himself out of his car seat while we are on the road. He will be 2 years old May 27th. He pushes the chest clip all the way down and pulls his arms and shoulders out of the straps but is still buckled at the waist. Today he did it 4 times, we had to pull over every time. What do you guys do when they start doing this? My Britax came with these long rubber strap covers but I took them off a while ago when he was to small for them. Are they to stop him from pushing the chest clip down? I just want to know if these will help before I take it apart to put them back on.
