Is 500$ enough for a month of groceries for a family of 4????
I use 500to600 for our family of six..... Soon to be seven but I'm breastfeeding so won't need to buy babymilk.also we shop at Sam's and Walmart and food markets that's cheap..... Sometimes the food money will be higher depends on what extra snacks I get.... Or special event that month etc
Yes I get 511 for family of 3 soon it'll boost up to 600 but I get stamps
I have a family of 5 and it costs us about $350-400 a month. But we buy a lot of soda and bottled water and some of that goes towards supplemental formula. I have two teens and a baby. Depends on what you buy and where. I hit sales and use coupons when possible. I'm trying to make a list ahead of time otherwise I spend it all on wasteful things that won't make a meal.
@shinelikethestars, I think you could make it work if you went to bjs or Costco
It probably depends on where you live and where you shop. I live somewhere expensive as hell so I would say we probably spend 500-600 a month on groceries and household necessities. I asked my husband and he's going to try figuring it out... we did a mock list for 4 people, being generous and came up with $520 for the month.
I spend more than that but I buy alot of snacks and drinks... plus my family is technically a family of 5 cause I supply food for my dad as well
