3:44am just got done with my first morning pump attempt. I didnt produce enough to collect. I only produced a couple of drops. For the next 4hrs every 2hrs im gonna pump. If i dont get anything ill still go see her, but im hoping to have something to give her when i go see her. My body was ready to produce for her and so far its amazed me that ive gotten anything at all. I probably wouldve had more sucess had i been able to naturally breast feed her, but then again maybe not bc with her being a premi its exspected for my milk to take a few days to come in. As long as it comes in. *fingers crossed* please body provide milk for her. She needs it more than anything right now. Please body let it get easier so she can recover faster.
@sawyersmom i would probably have to get my husbands help hand expressing. No joke he makes them lactate more than i can right now
I would at least try some hand expression. But you're doing great! Keep up the good work! And save those drops in a syringe!
You can still hand express. Just stimulate around the nipple. Do you have a lactation consultant
@sawyersmom i think my breasts are to small to do that. Im having to use the pump bc mine are so small that theres nothing to really grab to hand express
@viiviian.aiide @momofacoolchick @sawyersmom @mavrich19 thank you :) im trying. I just want her to get better so she can come home
I had the same issue as you had a couple of weeks ago. My daughter was 3 weeks premature though and I tried breast feeding for her but since she was so small she would tire herself out more quickly and wouldn't get the nutrients she needed which then caused a situation with her blood sugar being low. Mama you are doing everything that you can and what's right for your baby 💞💞💞 praying for you both! 💞💞💞💞
Just keep pumping even when you're exhausted pump. My daughter was a preemie & I pumped constantly just to make 1 to 2 oz bottles for her. Try to stay hydrated and eat(even though that's hard to do at the moment). Good luck
@sawyersmom i think its funny how they can stimulate them better than we can
