I'm so stressed out man, bills are starting to make things tight at my mom's house and I've been helping her as much as I can but my brother is 18 years old and could be helping her! I mean things are started to get cut off and my brother could get a job and help....I've even gotten him job applications but he doesn't want a job and my mom isn't making him get one to help her out. He just sits on his ass and plays video games all day while she struggles to pay the bills and provides him with cable, internet and food. Idk how many more conversations I can have with her before she finally stays on him about helping out.

I know how you feel..My younger siblings are 17 & 18 and are about to graduate.. They don't work and she puts no pressure on them even tho she's struggling to pay the bills.

I'm not sure the home situation but maybe downsizing to a place for just your mom would be more practical.
That's not right at all. He should be helping.

@simply_unsimple, ugh that's so frustrating!! Like if your of age to help out then you should, you shouldn't just be content with your mother struggling and your not doing anything to contribute. I just had a baby and I'm looking to go back to work sooner just so I can help her out

@brownsugarluv, yeah she wants to move into a smaller place because she has a 4 bedroom and using 3/4 of the rooms really. But yeah he's 18 and we've had multiple conversations with him about how things are getting tough for my mom and that he needs to help.
