Sometimes I miss going out like I used to before becoming a mother. I miss getting ready and going out with my baby's dad (not my bf or anything) and just having his attention. Not that it's his attention in particular that I miss but just that I even had anyone's attention in the first place. The fact that he would ask me to go out in the first place because it meant something to me that he actually wanted to go out with me somewhere and spend time with me and be seen with me. But now it's changed. He doesn't ever ask me to hang out with him anymore or go anywhere. I don't thing I could bring myself to actually go out without my daughter , but I wish he would at least think about inviting our daughter and I somewhere we can all go to together. I need to go out too, i haven't gone out since I found out I was pregnant (5 weeks). And honestly I need to get out of the house just to experience life outside my home. I honestly don't really have friends because my dumb self left all the friends I did have for him. And now when I do go over to his place so he can see her on the weekend (he lives with his parents, so they get to see her too) he leaves to hang out with other people. He'd rather be with others than his daughter. It hurts to see his preference over her. And what really kills me is when his mother tells him "take xochilt with you " I feel awful when I hear that. He replies by saying "no she can't leave the baby ever " that's his excuse for never inviting me anywhere. I don't know if I'm even making sense. I just really wanted to get that off my mind 😢
Oh Xochilt :( don't feel that way, please let me
know when you're free so we can go out.
@sk216, thanks your baby girl is so cute!! Oh wow they are ! How funny :D yes they are ;)
No problem :) go get your nails done and relax! Your daughter is beautiful by the way. Our daughter's are exactly 1 year and 3 days apart. February babies are the best
@sk216, thanks you're right. You helped me get my mind straight when I comes to this I really appreciate it! Hopefully I can make the time to go out even if it's by myself :)
There's no need to feel guilty but it's natural to feel that way. Its not like you constantly leave the baby with someone else. A couple hours a week to yourself is perfectly acceptable. You need to mentally be okay so that you can take care of the baby. Give yourself some much needed time to breathe
@sk216, thank you for taking the time to read it all. And thank you for saying it's okay to feel that way. Thinking about going out without my baby makes me feel guilty and honesty sad. Just thinking about it makes me tear up 😩 I trust my parents with my baby But feel like why should go out when I could spending time with my baby yet I feel like I need to go out just to get out.
I know how you feel. It's super tough. For awhile I felt that way. Don't feel bad, it's really hard adjusting to the mom life because it's nothing like you've ever had before. It's overwhelming and sometimes you just need a break and THAT'S OKAY. It was super hard for me because I was so use to going everywhere with my boyfriend and doing everything together but that all changed after the baby was born. We couldn't just run to the store real quick anymore, we couldn't go hang out with our friends like we use to, we couldn't even go to bed together like we use to. It took time but we eventually settled into parenthood. We rarely go out but when we do it feels great. You need to Find someone you trust to watch the baby and go out even if it is just for a couple hours. It will help. You'll feel better. You deserve a break too.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
