Day 5 of having a poorly baby with a trip to the hospital and doctors and being told it's viral, his rash is now covering his entire body and it's expanded, he still won't eat and only just about taking water I know it's something more than a 'viral infection' you hear all the time about parents being fobbed off and then the children dying and it's my worst fear being ignored time and time again! It happened with his breathing problems and his milk allergy until I demanded someone do something!

Oh my goodness. So I just went through the exact same thing. Zaid got a temperature of 39.1, took him doctors, was prescribed antibiotics even tho they couldn't find any sign of infection. 1 day into the course he broke out in the exact same rash! I assumed that he'd had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics. Took him doctors. Doctors said he didn't know if it was from the infection or from antibiotics but luckily by then the antibiotics had done their job. His temp under control again. So we stopped that. We started pirotin for the rash. Took about 2 days and the rash also cleared. But it's still lingering on his face.

I would take him back to hospital. Because my main worry with that rash is that it could turn septic. When you do the tumbler test does it disappear? My cousins little one had a stay in hospital for almost the same thing. You need to unfortunately be firm with them because you don't need him getting dehydrated, especially in this heat x
