Hey ladies. My little boy is nearly 6 months old, he's having breakfast small lunch and dinner, of puréed food, when did you start adding things more solid? Like toast, or things like that! Please help as I feel like he's just going to have puréed forever cos I'm too scared to try anything else!😳😳
So we did purees for about 2 months, we weaned early. When he hit 6 months I'd already introduced finger foods and I could see he was getting better at manipulating food in his mouth. And tbh I felt bad feeding him just pureed veg. In fact close to 7 months on 3 pureed meals a day he was constantly whining, moaning, scrambling for my food when I ate and at odd times smacking me to be breastfed. So we moved to real food. Rice chicken potatoes bread sandwiches mash fish everything how I'd eat it myself just with no spice for him. He immediately began sleeping better and stopped asking for extra feeds. Also I added snacks. He now has cheese strings, yogurt, fruit etc. Too.
The first foods I introduced to both my boys were solid finger foods. Anytbing really, chopped fruit & veg, toast, crackers, meat. If we had a roast dinner they'd have a Yorkshire pudding, potatoes and just eat the meat & everything with their hands. As long as the food is long enough for them to hold & chew on at the same time then they can have anything apart from honey I think it is.
My lad is 5 months and is on toast loves pancakes n has eggs mashed up xxx
Mine suggestion continue with veg.pure, fruit pure then at 7 month introduce additionally yogurts, potatos ,meat a bit , cheese ,Baby will be much healthier with a normal food Not a sandwiches, toast ,pancakes, you will kill his digestion .
