Any others baby's at 7 and a half months eat spready cheese on soldiers with no crust? Florence seems to be enjoying it ? My oh mother thought bread was too much, but it's a small wholemeal loaf only 400g slices lightly toasted and crusts cut off x

@hawkie75 ooh yup I've tried those too. I have a bit of a weird boy (like his mum) if the texture of something feels funny he won't put it in his mouth so these days those bananas pancakes don't work anymore :/

Zaid's also been having toast for breakfast since about 6 months. We've added pancakes, crumpets, croissants, French toast too but toast with butter and jam is always the easiest and his favourite.

@lukesmummy2016, Florence isn't crawling yet she's almost there, and getting frustrated with it bless her. I'm back at work in September so she'll start nursery then and a few trial days beforehand, all going too fast!!! lol

@lukesmummy2016, I'm very surprised the nursery don't know about it though, wouldn't want lil ones being at risk. Gosh that must be hard for you your baby being lactose intolerant, is there much online when you google for meal ideas???

@lukesmummy2016, no judgment by the way Hun, we all do things differently, and there's so many rules about these days, it's a bloody minefield x

I didn't know that. Our nursery gives it to under ones. He's only had it twice. I'm going to have to just give him marmite. Ffs what else can I give the child on a lactose free diet?! Thanks for sharing that hun @hawkie75 dx

It even says on honey jars not to give to children under one. Gave it to my daughter the over day and freaked out lol won't be doing that again

@lukesmummy2016, this is of the NHS site, and my baby cook books all say it too. Mind you rules change all the time don't they, and I'm sure it's a very small risk I just thought nobody bothered giving it before a year old anymore just incase. I bet my lil Florence would love if too ha!

@lukesmummy2016, I thought of trying marmite too, I thought babies weren't allowed honey till 1 year old?

@hawkie75 i use white or brown. To be honest im not too picky about what my kids eat aslong as they eat! Lucky they are both fantastic eaters and love fruit and veg.

@kayteamay, oh that makes me feel better lol, is there any particular type of bread you think is better for babies? I had a small wholemeal 40g loaf in so she had that with crusts cut off, but I'll be honest she didn't actually eat much just sucked it to mush and it ended up in her bib ha! So I gave her scrambled egg after lol
