I've been breast feeding Ava now for nearly 9 months and she's still not sleeping though the night. My nan suggested giving her a bottle of formula at bed time instead of breast, ha anyone done this? I don't want to do it if it's not going to work😂

Now I'm not a breast feeder but I agree with @mrsmowmow Feeding isn't always the reason babies wake up. Some babies just take longer to sleep through. For some, waking in the night just becomes routine. Morgan slept through early on. Max took a while longer. When he started waking again I wouldn't offer milk. I would try methods of getting him back to sleep. Even now sometimes he sleeps through, sometimes he doesn't lol
I think nan suggested that as its makes them have a fuller tummy keeping them content ive seen in some countries they put a scoop of babr rice in to thicken it up its like a toodler having horelicks sends em straight out for the count lol i guess you could try u dont see any harm xx @lexifindlay
In all honesty I think it wont work :) Maya still doesnt sleep through the night at 16 months...and she has 10-12oz's of Cows milk aday (half of that being before bed) and breast feeds too xx

Is there any mommy's on here that used to be or is on Government Assistance? And knows if they cover breast pumps?
I'm not planning to breast feed but would you ladies recommend breast feeding for the first time or straight onto bottles? Everyone keeps telling me different and I need advice! 😓

Because I have to be on mental health medication after birth I am unable to breastfeed😔 what are some good formulas for babies? I know breast is best but I can’t be on the medication I need and breast feed.
