Curious what you ladies think. My two older sisters tell my boyfriend that they love him even though they are not especially close. I know they mean it in a familial way, but I think it's weird and shows their lack of personal boundaries. I plan on telling them that it's weird to me, but just want to see if anyone else think it's odd too.
@vark, yeah I'm sure that's the situation. I mean he's your love and father of your little one and soon to be husband, there just welcoming him into the family 👐🏼
@happymama2julianna yea, thanks for responding..I'm starting to look at it differently now...which makes me so happy because this is the first guy that ive dated that my family has approved of! I was single for 5 years before I met him and had super high standards going in...
I think they are just saying they love him for you and accept him into the family, My family does the same with everyones spouse
@vark, ummm it's weird only if they say it often and a lot. If it's in special occasions then mayb but yes it's weird. Although in Mexican culture that seems to be a lil normal...so idk lol
@vark could be. They may be doing it to show u they accept him
im really jealous even when it comes to family. my mother in law calls my husband "papi" & i hate that shit so yes tell them!
@daylenerebecca they don't joke when they say it, but my family is very close almost unhealthy so I try to set clear boundaries just want to be sure no one crosses those boundaries
@momma_dee I'm gonna mention it but maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way, because they never told this to other guys in dated but he is the father of my son and we will be getting married hopefully
@allyk.xmommy if they are close I get it..but because they don't really interact that much i find it a bit over the top to say..maybe it's one of those "if you like him we love him" things idk
My younger sister tells my fiance she loves him. And so does my mom and brother. He's been in their lives for a very long time and he is daddy to our kids. They don't say it everyday, but when it's appropriate
That is very weird ! Do they say it as a joking way ?
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Recording my kids?!?!?
Sorry, this is long but it's fricking weird and worth the read!
Locking your doors
We are having a discussion on one of my birth boards from my older kids about locking doors and security alarms. There are many of us (me included) who do not lock our doors at home (I actually don't even have a deadbolt on my house and we don't lock it when we leave either), and others who think that's totally weird. So what do you do? Do you lock your doors? Do you think it's weird that people don't?
is it weird?
Is it weird that my babysitter text me 7am on a Saturday to tell me she misses my baby? Lol I'm a ftm and I kind of thought it was weird and I don't know how to respond to that really...
Racial nickname
I sometimes call my lo monkey. To me he looks like a little monkey. My so says it's racist and offensive. What do you think?
@babeylarissa I like to use the line I'm not jealous I'm territorial..lol sometimes it is just petty ass jealousy
