So I'm 9 weeks and 5 days pregnant and my sugar is high could that harm the baby? I feel normal they just said it's high.
@keonataylor, yeah girly no problems I'll do the best I can to answer your questions!
@danielleandco, okay thank you so so so much. If you don't care if I have any other questions may I message you?
Until you do the second test you won't know if you have it or not! @keonataylor, so try to relax take it day by day . Uncontrolled GD has its side affects like placenta failure (typically late pregnancy though ) abnormally large babies possible lung issues and still birth, however you'd have to let it go rampant for most of that stuff to happen
At this stage in pregnancy High Glucose shouldn't affect the baby too much ! I got diagnosed at 28 weeks and my son was born normal sized 7lbs 9oz! Watch carb intake! But don't cut them out completely you'll have to learn carbs vs protein intake and what carbs work well and what doesn't . Rice always spiked my sugars while pasta didn't , I couldn't have fruits in the morning but lunch and dinner time I could. Portions become a part of your every day life. I suggest joining the group in here also if you have Facebook they have a GD support group that definitely helped me survive and come up with good options to switch up the same things
Oh ok so you have to do the 3 hour one! Ok makes sense don't worry too much I had Gestational diabetes with my son ! If you do end up having it you can speak to me I believe they have a group forming for Gestational diabetes also
@danielleandco, no they haven't yet I go back the 1st to give more blood every hour.
@danielleandco, thank you so much I appreciate it more than you know!
