When did you start your kid sleeping in their own room?? Having some serious anxiety over it. I feel weird about it.
At 5 weeks. She would not sleep at all in our room. She started sleeping for 2-3 hour increments after that! I felt awful, but everyone was happier to be getting more sleep.
My daughter was about a year old... I kept the snuza (sids monitor) on her at night and have a video baby monitor, that gave me peace of mind!
@scurlock.mommy, thank you so much makes me feel better. Lol I guess I'm not ready to let go haha
@theoandannabethsmommy Don't feel bad! I wanted to share a room for at least the first year, but sometimes things just don't go as planned you know??
I don't really like not sharing a room, but I know she sleeps better that way. I also don't go to bed unless I know she's asleep, and I check on her if something just doesn't feel right. And our baby monitor was only like $20! Helps a lot bc I know exactly when she gets up or if she starts coughing and stuff.
@scurlock.mommy, well now I feel bad. Mine almost 2 and I don't have a baby monitor so it's a little stressful how do you handle it?
I started him in the other room at about 1 month ish because my awesome hubby needed sleep since he works a 6 am shift and I'm a SAHM so I could nap during the day. It's worked wonders for us we both sleep deep solid sleep. I wasn't waking up to eat little sleepy noise he made, just when he really needed something did I get up. I Co slept with him for naps occasionally and I barely got and quality sleep I was so scared that if I roll over ok r move he'll wake up to its better for my family that he sleeps in the other room. And he often sleeps right through the night these days. And people say you can't do that with ebf babies :-P if he does wake up at all its usually only once a night
