Why don't you get to feed him from the breast? I went through that too for the first couple of weeks and now I don't feel pain anymore. Did you breastfeed your firstborn?

@thevloggymommy, I did for a short period( like 4 days) but had no help or support fixing her latch and engorgement or problems so I gave up. Now with my son I coparent with his dad and in order for him to spend more time with him we introduced bottles.

Which he does great transitioning back and forth so that's not an issue but since he does get a bottle so he can spend more time with everyone I spend less time actually feeding him off the breast which he feeds no longer than 10 mins it seems like

@thevloggymommy, so I resort to pumping the milk out when he's not with me which I know can lead to engorgement but I pump on a few oz on each side just until they are comfortable. I was hand expressing but my breast get so lumpy and it's painful to touch/squeeze them so I just pump because it's the quickest way to get the milk out the fastest.

But now overall I'm just sick of pumping, sick of not really nurses him as much as I was which was 24/7( which is why I may be losing the passion to BF) in the beginning and being engorged multiple times a day which is painful and annoying.

@brianna_, I introduced the bottle early on too. I use to pump like clock work though every 30 minutes to an hour lol. It kept my milk supply up and my breast feeling empty. I only did it for a couple of weeks and then when she hit 1.5 months I started pumping every 2 hours which did fine. I double pumped at the same time for 15 minutes and usually that will be when No milk comes out and you can physically feel your boob have a empty feeling to touch. It's hard the first 2 months then I would say it gets easier. When he is with his dad is he drinking expressed breastmilk or formula?

@cubanese, no it's not a court order, and yes it really is ruining it 😩 he's just so happy to be able to spend more time with him specially since he's about to work 2 jobs I feel like I'm depriving everyone of time with Jace. But I'm going to talk to him to see about going back to strictly BF. Because it's not working for me personally if I want to continue BF which I do. And I can tell my son prefers BF over that fake ass nipple because sometimes he will reject it

Put warm tea bags on your nipples pump every time he gets a bottle it will help you keep your supply and get rid of engorgment be careful because you could end up with masititis.
