Could someone describe to me what a contraction feels like? I know when it happens for real I will know... but all day I've been having a tightening feeling very low in my belly above my public bone. Not painful what so ever or even considered a cramp, just a squeezing feeling and they aren't necessarily getting stronger but it's been happening all day. Can someone explain?! I'm 39w and 5days
You won't really be able to talk through a real contraction. L&D also told me to drink 32oz of iced water and wait 30 minutes. After the 30 minutes is up and it hasn't gone away then it's real. But to me it felt like very intense cramps. The tightening you're feeling sounds like Braxton Hicks to me 🙃
depending on your tolerance for pain I felt like that when I was in labor with my first daughter.... the doctors kept telling me if your in labor you'll know you won't be able to sleep through it.... I was in labor sleeping all day the only reason I went to the hospital is because I lost the brown mucus plug and didn't know what it was and freaked out got to the hospital I was 4 almost 5cm dilated.... the nurses were surprised the contractions weren't hurting me kept asking you don't feel that contraction?
