Been wondering, is your due date calculated to be 40 weeks from your last period? Or 38? Or something else? My obgyn says my baby is growing on track, but my due date is nearly a month off (late) from if I calculate 40 weeks from my last period, which I've found very strange. 🤔Does anyone else have a similar experience? If so, did the due date turn out to be accurate?

Thanks for your responses @babymomma17 and @kendraharlee - I'm sure I'm just worrying too much.

There really isn't a way to 100% know. Because babies often measure ahead or behind.

@kendraharlee. 38 weeks sounds more reasonable to me than 40 weeks

My last period ended on 9/12/16, but my due date (which my dr insists the baby has been growing perfectly on track w since my first ultrasound in January 2017 to now) is 7/22/2017, nearly 45 weeks from the last day of my last period. I'm worried that my baby may be underweight, causing them to estimate he's younger than he is. Anyone aware of any other way to tell a baby's true age before birth?

Because not all months have 4 weeks in them technically you're pregnant for 38 weeks. At least that's what I heard
