Help please my son is teething and i dont know what to give him for his gums

I gave my daughter baby orajel & it worked wonders . They've even got it in qtips already, all you do is snap one end and the stuff goes into the other end of the qtip and rub it on ! The doctor did tell me to avoid anything for teething with alcohol in it
