it is so damned hard. I quit cold turkey, I gave in one time after two months and had a ciggy but felt so bad I haven't touched one since. honestly I still think about smoking but not as much anymore and I don't crave it anymore, sometimes I just hold one of my husband's ciggies (not lit) and smell it and that satisfies me. just have to think about baby, just think "if I smoke this ciggy my baby is not getting the oxygen it needs therefore struggling to breath" that's what I think and it goes away.
try chewing gum, that helps sometimes to take your mind off it

I have almost the same story as above. Quit cold turkey at 4 weeks when I found out but I kept having awful cravings... so after 2 months I had a cigarette and it tasted awful, nothing like I thought it should. It took me forever to even smoke the damn thing and I haven't craved one since. I have, however, thought about the times I use to. Like "oh I'm bored at work.. I wish I still smoked so I could just take a break" but I don't actually miss the actual cigarette.
It's tough. It sucks so bad. But if you can quit for your baby, it's the best reason to quit. My mom smoked when she was pregnant with my brother and I both. And she always said "if I could quit for 9 months, don't you think I could quit?" So I figured that's when I'm going to quit, when I have a reason.
