So be sensitive ladies. Just thought I'd share what just happened to me.
Just to preface what I'm about to share, I've had two consecutive miscarriages so I'm extremely nervous and anxious this pregnancy. I can't feel my baby which makes it that much harder for me. Some days I don't feel pregnant at all, which scares the HELL out of me. On top of people constantly saying, shouldn't you be bigger? It doesn't look like youre growing... The only reassurance I have is this local iltrasoind clinic that I've gone to just about every three weeks. Today, the sweet ultrasound lady had a talk with me. In so many words, she told me that it makes her uncomfortable to do so many ultrasounds and that I should try to relax and just let baby grow. Because even though there are no studies that show negative affects of routine ultrasounds, there aren't really any studies done on fetus' for obvious moral reasons. She said she'd feel more comfortable with more space between the visits. A appreciated her concern and she seemed to understand that I am worrying. But just the conversation alone has me thinking, have I been putting my baby at risk this whole time??? Should I just stop and worry myself to death?? I need some encouragement.

I had a miscarriage before having my daughter. So I was seeing by my regular doctor every 2-3 weeks, which they also performed an ultrasound on each visit. Once I was about 20 weeks I started visiting a high risk as well due to high blood pressure and my last miscarriage. The high risk doctor every month also did an ultrasound which was more in depth. My daughter is 1yr old and is healthy. So don't scare yourself thinking you have harmed your baby. One thing that helped me keep sane was to purchase a fetal doppler, which you can also rent online. I'm pregnant again and use it in between visits. You'll feel your little one moving soon which helps a lot. Wishing you a happy 9 months and a healthy baby.

Oh my goodness hunnie I've been right there in your shoes. This whole pregnancy all I did was worry at the beginning all day every day talked myself into believing it was going to happen again any day everyday was the cat it would happen. I even had spotting at 17 weeks and all my symptoms seemed to just disappear so naturally i thought the worst. . I didn't feel any movement until well into 20+ weeks and even now it's not a lot. What I'm getting at though is you need to relax. Trust me, I KNOW it's not easy to not go crazy but it'll be for the best.. just let your body do it's job and keep faith. Think positive and take care of you 🤗🤗

@tasharoshell I love my doppler they're a beautiful thing but also they can be inaccurate sometimes! My first one stressed me out more because I couldn't find him! But to fix that I actually took it with me to the dr appt and asked her to use it on me and she found it! So when you do get one doooont stress out if it takes a bit, we're not professionals lol

Worrying is definitely normal. But it doesnt change any outcome except your mental health! Trust the process! But I had 6 ultrasounds or more and we're fine
