I realize I never did my labor story so here it goes.
I was due for my appointment on Friday but Thursday night I started having back pain it hurt so bad but I slept through it because I wanted to wait until Friday. So here's Friday I go in get checked she tells me I'm having back labor and I'm 3cm 75% effaced and babies head is right there very close she told me if I feel back pain again to go to the hospital. So mind you I'm paranoid as hell I went home and I kept looking for aches and pains and nothing was coming I didn't ever feel a contraction so I decided it was safer that I went to the hospital instead of sitting around waiting and having a baby at home. Good thing I did because wen I went in was 4cm dilated with regular contractions that I couldn't feel so they admitted me. About 6 hours in I was feeling the back labor my back was just hurting and so even though I wasn't in any real pain just discomfort I got the epidural anyway before I did they slowed me to walk for an hour and that brought me to 5cm I stayed 5cm for a long time then the nurse comes rushing in calls someone on the phone and a bunch of people start rushing in and tending to me I'm asking them what's wrong is she okay they wouldn't answer they threw a oxygen mask at me and when I kept asking the didn't say anything but made me put the mask on so then started telling me that she was having a heart deceleration it was slowing down pretty much so they had to put a monitor on her head to monitor her heart rate I cried so hard they were trying to reassure me that she was fine but the thought of loosing her made me feel lost after about an hour they decided to start me on pitocin my contractions had pretty much slowed down after I got the epidural. After another hour I started feeling "pressure" is what they call it in my back and it hurt I couldn't speak I couldn't think I was in utter pain the epidural still in me. So I told my aunt that it was hurting and she called the nurse they checked me I'm 9cm now again I started crying and then my other aunt walked in told me my cousin would be on her way (Mias god mom) so I laid there in pain mouth shut trying not to think about it for 15 more minutes waiting on my cousin so she can be there for the birth.
She got there in time and it was time for me to push. I pushed for about 20 25 minutes the head just didn't wanna come out so the last time I pushed the vacuum her out and then there was Mia she was thrown into me crying and screaming and I was just there in shock. And a sense of relief of her being out of me. The epidural made me so numb that I didn't feel myself tear (3rd degree) and she came out 6 pounds 2oz 18in with a head full of hair 😍
