What hurts me the most is that I wanted to breast-feed so bad. I was getting enough milk to feed 3 babies, I thought I was an amazing job, my baby girl was latching great and it did not hurt be at all. Come to find out my breastmilk was not getting enough calories to my baby so now I have to supplement with formula and since I did my milk dropped really bad I'm barely producing anything now so now I'm pretty much formula feeding altogether. it makes me cry every time I think of it, because I was doing so good on breast-feeding, if it wasn't for the calories and I wanted to breast-feed sooooo bad 😢
Her dr told me that because she was not gaining her birth weight back so my milk was not giving her the calories she needed and she had been super fussy and when I started giving her formula she got better
They sure did keep trying if you can eventually it will produce more
Talk to a IBCLC.. there's no such thing as that.. mothers in 3rd world countries strictly breastfeed and barely eat and their children thrive.. don't let drs who don't know anything about lactation tell you you're not doing it right.. they use a scale that changes every year to say what a thriving child is like.. seriously.. don't let this discourage you momma.. I was told the same thing and I ignored them.. my son is beyond thriving and doing so good.
I know how you feel. I am going through the same situation. I took it really hard. I felt like I was failing my daughter.
Am I they only mom on here not breast feeding? I never have enough milk come in to supply a baby so formula it is
Want to formula feed my baby, as of now I pump and feed him breast milk but I feel so guilty :(
i feel so bad feeding my baby formula but he is getting full with my breastmilk and i dont think i am producing enough😔
Lady at WIC making me feel bad cause I want to formula feed & breast feed my baby, like it isn't my fault my chubby bunny eats 2x what I produce, & I refuse to let my child starve so yes I will formula feed him. 👀😒
I can't believe my baby about to drink formula now 😢😳😐 I was breast feeding him so well.
@beverlystory13, don't worry momma. It's normal for babies to be small it's bc our milk is specifically for their needs bc not all babies are the same.. your milk changed everyday.. but I encourage you (if you wanna keep a milk supply) to pump for every missed feeding bc if not, your supply will diminish.. so just keep up on pumping and all should be ok. Stay positive !
