I have an extremely dumb question...I'm a FTM, and I've had multiple people tell me to make a birth plan. How exactly do I make one? Like what do I put on my plan??
@melly_17 the non stress test it measures baby's heartbeat and if you're having any contractions.
Those twice a week visits suck so much. Well for me anyway bc I wasn't having any contractions, still am not. So it was 20 min to an hour of boredom lol
@nicoclev, haha I'm 27 weeks on Sunday, and I'll be almost 28 when I go in for my next appointment. My doctors told me that after this appointment they're gunna have me come in every two weeks until I'm 33 weeks then I have to start coming in every week. So I'm hoping it flys by
@melly_17 the time will fly by
Until the 35th week and then you're lile oh my GOD
@nicoclev, I'm hoping they go over it with me before he's born, it won't be too much longer until he's here!
@melly_17 mine were more concerned w me being diabetic beforehand. I'm just glad they got it done. We went over it again to make sure they have the right info yesterday
@nicoclev, my next appointment will be my gestational diabetes test, I'll be almost 28 weeks. She asked me those questions when I was like 12 weeks!
@melly_17 yeah it put me at ease, especially because w my doc/hospital they add everything to your digital chart so she asked me at about 25 weeks. She told me that if I wanted to take the placenta home I'd have to fill out a form like 60 days before delivery
@nicoclev, awesome! My doctor has asked me sever questions, but those were early on. She just asked me if I wanted an epidural, if it's a boy do I want to do circumcision (I'm having a boy so I told her yes) she just told me to write it all out on paper and bring it in when it gets closer to time
My doc asked me what my preferences were for birth. Like who I wanted in the room during labor/pushing, if I wanted an epidural with the option to change my mind during if I'm in too much pain, whether I want my son circumsiced, if I was planning to breast or formula feed, pacifier yes or no, delayed cord clamping. I'm a FTM too and it really eased my mind. Also I use baby center app and it let's you answer questions related to the birth tha you can save and print out
@melly_17 for me it depends on the day of the week. If I go on a Wednesday or Thursday, 20 min. But if they're busy it can take an hour. The test itself is only 20 min though
