I don't want to be induced. I'm scared and I know it's going to be different than my water breaking on its own

I know what you mean, i am going to be induced Friday and i am dreading it. It was so horrible for me the first time. I am trying different things to get things going. So far a lot of contractions but not close enough to go to the hospital.

@mommy.ortiz4 don't stress too much about it... I was scheduled to be induced with my son because he didn't seem to want to come out but I literally had him the day before I was going to be induced at 40 weeks and 6 days.... I had no signs of labor until I woke up at 3 in the morning with contractions and had him that same day

And I agree with what lorelite said.. at least your in hospital all ready to go unlike at home where u have to start from thing one ya kno?

They're going to put a tiny device (I forgot what it's actually called but they call it a "Barbie tampon" for its literally a tiny tampon) for 12 hours to soften cervix. They'll ask if you want any epidural etc and water should brake from there over time. It was nice knowing I was in good care rather than going into labor at home or something

Do your paperwork, hook you up to an iv and medicine in it to start contractions and increase the dosage every few hours, I also had to have this one and a half pill put in my kookah every two hours to start dilate me which hurt, and nurse kept checking to see if dialated more and they had to break my water and I got the epidural and got a catheter put in. The whole process for me was alittle over 24 hours like I went in Thursday afternoon and had her Friday night. I can't remember every detail of being induced but it's not bad at all.

It really isn't bad at all, plus once the pain dose hit you're already at the hospital being taken care of

I was induced and it wasn't really bad.. I was just happy I was in the hospital all ready and hooked up so when the pain was starting I was able to get epidural.

Oh okay, well try not to stress too much. I literally went into labor the day before my due date naturally. Didn't think it was going to happen.

The 22nd. My 39th week appointment was today and my OB said if he's not here by the 24th than she's going to give me a induction date.
