Hi this ultrasound was taken the day i found out i was pregnant, 2 weeks ago, and was told i was 6 weeks 2 days pregnant. Which makes me today 8 weeks and 2 days, Yesterday was my first actual prenatal appointment. The doctor there touched my abdomen and told me I may not be that far along(8weeks) my queation is it possible for the doctor to determine that by just touching my abdomen? Has me worried if my baby stopped growing

I'd go by the ultrasound... those are really accurate, all babies develop at the same rate in the beginning... then second trimester they can start changing at different rates... Seems odd for the doctor not to know that! 🤔 maybe you need to find a different doctor.
I went and the ER who found i was pregnant told me i was "5 mins preg" then my OB said i was 4 weeks then a couple weeks later got another ultrasound and found i was actually 7 weeks and now im 9 weeks. It can take a bit to get an accurate due date since youre so early.
Yeah if clinic did ultrasound and all that I'd go by them

Go by your LMP, that's the estimated due date until you get further
@mommysbabies she just went by the clinic i first went to, i told her that 2 weeks ago they did a ultrasound and said i was 6 weeks 2 days. Which makes me now 8 weeks 2 days, she just checked my pelvis and pressed on my abdomen and told me i may not be that far along by what she felt
They measure at each appointment how far the top of the uterus is from the pelvic area. Usually that can determine how far along you are. BUT i' d go by ultrasound starting out, they can always measure a little behind or a little ahead.

When i got the ultrasound done they gave me a due date 12.25.17
No problem I'd go based on what baby was measuring at ultrasound and not necessarily because some woman just have smaller uteruses than others what did dr give you for due date

It could have just been based on the size of uterus what was baby measuring at ultrasound
From wat i remember was march 9th. But when i got the ultrasound done they told me i didnt ovulate till days after. So got pregnant around the 19th of march
Yes i really didnt like her she didnt even try to see if she could hear the babys heart beat with a doppler. With my son the first time i went they used the doppler.
