💜 I'm in complete awe.
Alice Maria has entered this world at 6:49 am, May 10. Weighing 8lbs 4oz. She is 20 inches long.
She is probably the most beautiful little girl I've ever seen. I totally cried like a baby when they laid her on my chest.
It all started Monday, I went for a walk with my momma to get ice cream & I started to really contract! So I figured what the hell lets sit on some coffee maybe it'll make things more intense. & did it ever. Tuesday morning they were so bad and close I couldn't walk or talk through them. So I went in to L&D. They checked I was only 3CM and when they checked 2 hours later after morphine I was still only 3CM, so they sent me home.
I got home, tried to eat, felt so sick I just laid down and relaxed and managed some sleep while I wasn't feeling pain. At 12 they were coming every 2-3 minutes & I couldn't walk. So I gave up and we came in. They checked right away & I was 4 CM they took me into a case room and gave me the epidural then checked and broke my water at 410 am I was 5CM. Epidural slowed my contractions so I was given a drip to speed them back up. I managed to close my eyes and at 6 am I woke up & felt a pressure & need to push. So I paged
my nurse and was fully dilated. And her head was coming.
Took me about 15 pushes to have her crowning. And then I had to stop no doctors. They had emergency c-sections. Thankfully it was about shift change and the other doctors where in. After that it was 3 pushes and she was out and on my chest. I got to cut the cord myself. Total active pushing was 40 minutes 💜
