And so it just gets worse and worse... Now my son is down to sleeping 1 hour before waking up. And then it's even harder to get him back down after that first wake up. And he sleeps an even shorter time after it. Ugh ladies, I'm at such a loss. Idk why he is doing this. It doesn't matter what I do, night time bath, lavender lotion, lavender essential oils, chamomile sleepy tea, Tylenol for teething, white noise, I'm right here with him in the same room, crying it out doesn't seem to do anything anymore, he won't even sleep next to me has to be on me. Like I've literally done and do everything anyone has told me. This has been going on for like two months and gotten worse. I've talked to a nurse at his doctors and I've talked to his doctor in the past. I need sleep and so does he and he can't sleep with me anymore it's not good for either of us. I don't know what to do anymore. I've been told just keep doing what your doing but it's getting worse! He's almost 9 months old... I understand some babies are bad sleepers and they go through a lot to cause them sleep issues but he's been better in the past and then after 5 months he just declined slowly and is back to newborn status. 😫 I know some of you all are going through the same, so thankfully I'm not alone... But damn I feel like it's never going to get better 😣

What does the doctor say? I actually walked for two hours today with my son in the stroller because he refused to nap and was the only way I could get him to nap and stay asleep!

His doctor isn't very helpful really. She just tells me to keep doing what I'm doing. And the nurse told me it could be colic, or cause he's constipated ( I give him things to help with that) to try and cut naps, give him a bath at night. Like nothing really helpful. She's like it's a hard thing to give an answer too. Well something needs to be going on with him besides the normal growth spurts and teething. It has to be something else bothering him. And I'm not a doctor or a mind reader and everything I do or can think of as his mother fails him and I feel terrible about it. I think he has sleep separation anxiety. And idk how to help him with that. I've done different sleep training methods nothing. Nothing works. 😞 it's like he needs a baby Xanax or something to calm him lol idk if there is such a thing for babies probably not but idk if I can wait till June to see his doctor. I might make an appt to see her sooner. 2 going on almost 3 months is a long time to deal with this. @bluepenguin,

Honestly. I sleep with my daughter. She is either on me or next to me pressed up against me. She naps in her swing (or MamaRoo) or in the car. I know what people say about sleeping with your child but in the words of my daughters doctor "I've never seen a child at 15 sleeping with their parents. When they're ready they'll show you."

Sigh, that's the thing he just wants to be with me. Ir something is going on with him and he needs my comfort. I feel bad for him cause idk what's wrong and nothing I do besides just my physical self helps him. I just worry about him sleeping on me because Summer's coming for one and it's going to be super hott and I worry about him suffocating in my bedding with being on me now 😞@jhalsted1995,

It scares me too. It's the only way I get any sleep though. We have AC and fans in our room to keep the air moving and a light sheet is all the blanket I allow.

Plus me holding him he acts uncomfortable moving around a lot in his sleep so I put him in his crib and he doesn't stay long.@jhalsted1995,

I just have a fan. I could get an AC if I have too. But it's the Only way I get any sleep either. And I worry more with the sheet then I do my blanket sometimes I wake up in a panic cause his head is wrapped in it, thankfully he's ok but god forbid something happened I couldn't live with myself and everyone would blame me 😣 @jhalsted1995,

Try tucking the sheet (ours is a king size too sheet on our queen size bed) and honestly at 8 months most children are safer from the risk of SIDS they can turn their heads and are starting to wake up if they need more air.

Yeah I feel like he would alert me if he was having an issue, but he is a baby and if he's sleeping he may not know. Ugh it's stressful. I wish there was just a magic solution. 😕@jhalsted1995,

He's going to be moving into his own room soon by the time he's 1 or sooner. So idk how he'll be being alone. If he'll be the same as now. hopefully this is just a stage and he'll grow out of it soon! Here's to hoping 😔@jhalsted1995,

Have you taken him to a chiropractor? We started taking ours at about 2 months... she was slightly out of alignment... and during growth spurts it really helped her to not have pain, because she was in alignment! Just a thought... maybe you should also get a second opinion from another pediatrician... if your mommy instincts are telling you there is something more, there probably is! Good luck momma!

Thank you! And I might just do that. I'm going to see her first and if she's no help I may look to another doctor. @dreamermom,

@missjess, I can't imagine this is easy for either of you, especially since you are seeking help for all the 'right' channels, and they don't seem to be offering you much support! I wish there was more that we could do to help you out! Know I'm praying you will find some answers!

Ugh I feel sooo bad for you. What is he doinh before bed time?! Can you tired him out to the point where he's exhausted? Like take him outside or does he use a walker ? He needs to tired himself out.

If it isn't that then he's gotta be uncomftable in some way. U need maybe to go back to the pediatrician and thoroughly explain and demand he be checked more. Could be acid reflux at night could be stomach issues. They need to rule that out.

Good luck ma I pray this gets better

Thank you @pnkbuttafly234, I try to tire him out as much as I can. He doesn't have a walker just an exersaucer. I let him scoot around on the floor sit and play do all kinds of stuff. But I'm going to call tomorrow to see if I can get in to see his doctor. Cause something is bothering him. Even sleeping with me he doesn't sleep that long either.,

Sorry about this, I would give the doctor one more chance if not get a second and third opinion. Maybe he is a colic baby or had gas check it all out, you are doing a great job
