What do you do when your parents hate the guy who makes you the happiest?? Do you just go on living your life with what makes you happy?

Like they don't feel like he's good enough but my parents also hold crazy high standards even towards me. I love him and he treats me right and I feel like he's the one.. it's just hard not wanting to disappoint your parents
He's your man, not theirs. If he treats you right, loves and respects you, then that's all that matters. People will always have something to say.
My parents hated my husband for the longest time. I married him anyway and they've since gotten over it. Much as you love your parents, if you're with someone you love and know it's right for you, that's the decision you should go with. They'll have to learn to respect that. It's not them dating him anyway. 🙄
