VENTING POST
so my MIL birthday is tomorrow and my FIL is out of town 2 hours away and won't be here for her birthday so me, being a nice daughter in law invites her over for dinner at our house. Told her I was going to make her a birthday dinner and she said she would rather go out and eat and picked a restaurant that's almost 2 hours away. My husband has to drive an hour and half to and from work everyday. He's not going to want to get off work, come home, shower and drive another 2 hours to go this restaurant. Am I being unreasonable? This woman is crazy!

Is the restaurant she wants to go to closer to the fil? Maybe that was her thinking but that's a lot of driving for your husband

Ummmm that is crazy. If I were you I'd get my husband to tell his mother no, that she can just come to dinner at our house
