Sooooo my son slept in the bed with me for the first 4 months, then he was sleeping in his crib up until he got sick about a week ago. He now only wants to sleep with me or my mom (when she's watching him) and he has to be touching you. I've tried cry it out and he'll go on forever if I let him. I usually come and get him after 10-15 mins. He use to fall asleep in my arms and I could transfer him to the crib without waking him, but as soon as I place him in his crib he's up in all 4s crying.... anyone experience this or give me some options that may help him work his way back in his crib? He just turned 8 months on the 7th....thanks 😁
I'm going through the same thing with my son! It's been going in for like 2 months. I read something about 8 month olds going through a sleep transition or something. I've been having the hardest time. I do everything! And my mom suggested I do what @dreamermom, said but he won't even sleep next to me in my bed, has to be right on me. 😫
@dreamermom, I want to try this.i swear my queen size bed isn't big enough for a crazy sleeping 11 month old😩
I pushed my daughters crib against the wall in my bedroom, took the one side rail off of it, and pushed my bed up next to it, making sure her mattress was a couple inches lower than my bed... then she would sleep in her bed... but was close enough I could touch her if needed, and she could smell my scent... then after a couple weeks I put the side back on... so she could still see and smell me... after a couple more weeks... I pulled my bed away from the crib like 2 feet, and finally after a few more weeks moved the bed across the room... and then like a month later to her own room! Took a while to make the transition... but it was smooth, and everyone got more sleep! It worked for us! Maybe it would work for you?!?
My son is doing the same thing! He used to be so good at sleeping in his crib until his teething started, now he sleeps with me every night because I get too tired to sit there and stroke him until he's fully asleep in the crib. He's slowly growing out of it, though. I keep trying every now and then to put him in hid crib. When I do, I open his window and cover him with a warm blanket. There's something about sleeping under a warm blanket in a cold room that helps him sleep better. You can also try bathing your son and using lavender scented baby soap every night, or even just use lavender essential oils (diluted, of course) on him before bed. Lavendar is great for helping with sleep and relaxation.
Hell sleep next to me and once he's asleep I can move away, but ugghhhhh. I'd love to try the crib thing, but my bed is against the wall and the crib won't fit if I try to move everything
