How bad does it hurt to have your membranes stripped? Scale of 1-10 and do the OB's do it upon…

I had gotten 2 sweeps, one at 39 weeks and at 41 weeks. I will admit the first time it did kinda hurt with the stretching... then again the lady warned me that she had big fingers, 2nd time was easier she had smaller hands lol

Its definitely uncomfortable...

Everyone definitely made it seem worse than what it was when I got mine done. And I don't do pain but it wasn't bad but it didn't work for me hopefully it will for you! Doctors have no problem trying it if you want to

it is very uncomfortable. There is alot of pressure. To me it felt like my dr was digging into my uterus, even though that wasnt the case. I had mine done on a Tuesday and I had my daughter that Saturday.

@ldavis4415, that's quick! I would love some results like that haha but I'm so nervous 😩 my doc hands are already on the chubbier side

My Dr asked me if I wanted my membranes swept. He didn't think it would send me into labor, but it did. I did alot of walking and squatting also after I had it done.
