You'll probably be fine but castor oil definitely can be dangerous so I wouldn't take it again. Your body won't go into labor until it's ready even tho you want it to go faster. Believeeeee me I had to be induced 11 days past my due date and it sucked so bad to go so long lol but my baby was completely healthy and I don't even think about how he was late anymore unless someone asks.

They normally want you do the castor oil with medical supervision just incase the baby is in distress. If your ob doesn't know, I would inform them just incase.

@sequala_parson, no not exactly sweeping your membranes doesn't make u go into labor it's simply separates the bag of water from the side of your uterus that's it. Sometimes women go into labor after but that's not an induction. Here is a link to 40 reasons why u should carry ur baby past 40z also to answer your question I believe full term is 40-42 weeks due dates aren't actually due dates were not god. They are just an estimated time. Everybody is late to something in there life right!

Please ALL mommies start letting your bodies and babies do what they have to! If labor was meant to come on your time you would be able to pick your due date...BUT it does not work like that. If you have to be induced a doctor will schedule that.

I did it ALL (not castor oil) pineapples, sex, walking, labor ball, etc.... It is a waiting game PATIENCE is the first thing your baby will teach you. Enjoy these last few weeks of pregnancy because one thing that is for certain is the baby HAS to and WILL come out without your assistance. That's for certain!

@sequala_parson I took a little with my last baby with Orange juice at night time right before bed my water broke the next day about 2 hours after I some up. My baby came out perfectly fine and healthy. But this time around I will just let LO come when hes ready to come.

That castor oil will give you diarrhea and throwing up and cramps didn't work

Prayers! Castor oil was originally used for brake fluids, lubricants for engines, bicycles and even in the old days was used as punishment and caused death and horrible side effects with excessive amounts of it. Nothing can be done now you already took it, but prayers out to your little baby!

My OB said he wouldnt even consider inducing me till a week after i hit 40 weeks
