Currently about 7 weeks along..had X-ray's done at the dentist about 2 weeks back(I didn't know I was expecting) could it have harmed my baby? I hate googling cuz the answers are always like the worst case scenario and they terrify me 😂Thanks Ladies .HAPPY MOTHERS DAY by the way may u all have a wonderful day full of love and blessings💗🌷🌹🌼💐
Dental x-rays are WAY less radiation than normal x-rays. If they were digitally taken (no film to develop) then there's even less exposure. (Less scatter radiation)
Source: veterinary technician who's been exposed (with proper safety equipment) to TONS of x-rays.
Yes, there's potential for risk, just like drinking alcohol poses a risk.... now you know, so avoid more exposure. I went to a Halloween party before I knew I was pregnant. (Our conception date is Oct 10th) I drank, but didn't get drunk. My baby shows zero signs of any issues from it.
The human body is amazing. Think about it, smoking used to be advertised as healthy and good way to make your lungs feel great. If people can survive smoking and drinking during pregnancy, one small dental x-ray is nothing!
Most likely everything is fine.
I had to have the same thing done when i was pregnant. I had a feeling that i was but didn't know for sure. My ob didn't ever find anything wrong with my son my whole pregnancy. I know its not good for the baby but they put that heavy vest thing in you that actually protects the baby. @mjmommy
