Thoughts on walkers? We don't have any stairs and my son has very good head control. Facebook is too judgy for me to ask there 😒
Also, anyone have those doorway jumpers? My boyfriends sister just bought us one.

My daughter has a walker at my parents house and loves it. I debated grtting a push walker but her physical therapist advised against it as it teaches them to walk on their toes since their center of gravity is shifted up and forward.

My pediatrician advised me against them. The kind that you put baby into and it rolls around. Supposedly it stunts their development. But I bought one that he can stand up and push.

I used both. Now, granted, I am in my early 40s, so I grew up babysitting kids using them, and my mom put me in them, too. Things changed when our country went law suit crazy. Basically, don't leave your children unattended. Use common sense. It is better for them to get exercise, than to be strapped in a swing or a vibrating 'bouncer' that doesn't actually let them use their muscles. And obviously, they need to go *somewhere*, sometimes, so that you can do things like mop or use the oven. Obviously, the main danger with walkers is stairs. I would worry about that, but in your case, not a worry. If you have a doorway jumper... Just be mindful that they need a big doorway. They can move far enough, and lose footing, and then swing in the other direction, and maybe it the frame with their head or something. My son did it that, but then again, he was being 'helped' to swing, but his older sister. So obviously, you just really check how they do with it, before you turn your back, and don't let your older child push the baby around. It's pretty basic. We're moms... If we don't use our common sense and pass it down to our kids, we're not doing them a service. My kids got more hurt running around on their own two feet, than they ever did by some recalled baby bouncer. And that's OK. They need to not be afraid of falling down. Moms need to remember that, too. That's how they learn how to get back up again. And have confidence, versus anxiety. I never like seeing my kids get hurt, but I think our society has gotten ridiculous in terms of *over*protecting. Now scientists say that it's actually good for kids to eat a little dirt, to strengthen their immune systems, and peanut allergies may be caused by not introducing that food, until it is too late. Obviously, you know my stand on this. *common sense*.

We have a doorway jumper and they are a pain in the ass to get baby in and out of. We only used ours until he got like 21 pounds
